Terror Twins power--activate!

We wish that the terror twins special power was to disappear, or, at the very least, to teleport themselves somewhere else! We can rest assured, however, that they no longer possess the power to reproduce! That's right, the terrible twosome spent a day at the vet's office and came back minus certain parts. What we want to know is, couldn't the vet have taken more parts?

More importantly, missing parts means Rick and Ilsa can go home now!!! Any takers?!

BTW, we want to apologize to our blogging buddies for not keeping up with everyone in a while. We can squarely blame the human who is hopelessly inadequate at keeping on top of his stuff, much less ours. We're thinking of you guys and will be by soon!

No country for old dogs

HEY! Rousseau protests the title of this post! He's not old! Well, sometimes he moves like he is... Besides, he likes keeping pace with Jacks, who's no spring chicken. :) Anyway, Rousseau went to his first agility trial this past weekend--and he did GREAT! No, he's not magically competing in agility (yet!), he came out to support sister Narra and soak up the atmosphere. He's learning to cope with the activity of many people and dogs coming and going. He was a little anxious at first, but he settled in very nicely and even seemed to enjoy all the festivity after a while. Jackson, too, who can get overly excited in these kinds of situations, enjoyed the beautiful weather and fun. He loved watching all the dogs go by--and was never inappropriate! :) The "old" boys can't wait for the next trial!

"We just want to 'potty' all the time, 'potty' all the time..."

We're "potty" animals!!! At least our best buds Wally, Ethel, and Oscar think so! They extended Narra's birthday by a week! WOOHOO!!! Today, Narra got burpday prezzies! Wally sent her awesome duck treats and... BULLIES!!! And, of course, the coolest birthday card ever--that proclaimed us "potty" animals! With sound effects even (we'll leave that to your imagination). Wally said she didn't have to share, but the human made her. :) Thanks, Wally (Ethel and Oscar, too)!!!

See? That's Narra hiding in her crate while she chows down on her bully. She's pretending she's not sharing...
Wally even gave enough bullies for the terror twins. Turns out another benefit of bullies is that puppies have to eat them in their crates! HAHAHAHAHA! But the white ones got something special, too: FOOD! We hope they'll take it and eat it somewhere else...
Big doofus Ricky--he's still eating his bully.BTW, Rick and Ilsa are available for adoption through Echo Dogs White Shepherd Rescue. Everyone tell your friends--fast!

Of all the gin joints...

Well, we finally got back into the studio today, but you'll never imagine why. We were surprised as well: the human wasn't painting, you see, he was sequestering dogs! Yes, we said DOGS--two of them, White German Shepherd Dogs! We thought we were in the clear when No-Name (who turned out to be named Coach) went home with his breeder. But, no, Wally's apes call to say there are dogs who need help, and, of course, our feeble human runs to their aid. (Wally, we don't hold you responsible for the acts of your apes!) So, we have a couple of house guests who we hope won't over-stay their welcome.

The human decided to change their names from ignorant ones to silly ones: Rick and Ilsa. First of all, these two dogs are brother and sister... why would you name them after people who--duh--were obviously not blood related? And second, who is going to adopt dogs whose names invoke THE 20th-century emblem of noble sacrifice and unfulfilled love? Okay, we won't go there...

Regardless, we hope someone will adopt these two. And we hope it is someone who is considerably kinder and more loving than the man who dumped them at an overcrowded shelter. We won't bore you with the details; the bottom line is, these guys need a home (or homes)! Here's the 411: 8-months old, intact, in good general health (vet records forthcoming) as far as we know, and supposedly housebroken. They're super sweet and will probably get along great with everyone and everything. Even Narra has warmed up to them a bit. :) The human says he will spay and neuter (ew) these guys before they can go home. So, if anyone knows someone looking for a good White German Shepherd Dog--or two--send them to our house!

Oh, and here, we have a video, too! :)

Dilly in Philly

With a nod to our friends Penny, Poppy, and Patches (and the China cabinet gang, too!) at Airedale Heaven, we'd like to introduce... Welsh Heaven! No, we're not talking about our corgi uncle Kidlat, we're talking about our new, long-distance friend Dilly, a Welsh Terrier. Doesn't she look like a mini-Airedale?! :) But she's only about 25lbs! We haven't met her in person yet--our human just met her last night. Maybe next time we're in the city, we'll go visit. She came to live with a couple artist friends less than a week ago. Now, she spends her days hanging out in their studio and at a hip gallery. Cool, man.

Party in Pink

Guess who turned FIVE years old today? Hint: she's the only girl in our house! :) Yup, Little Miss Too-Good-for-You is getting up there in dog years... Dont' tell her we said this, but she doesn't show it--she's as crazy as ever. Anyway, we love birthdays because we all get stuff! Narra got a special pink wubba (just for girls), but we all got to share a fresh bag of our favorite duck treats. We also had a special dinner: our favorite beef heart! PLUS, we got bully sticks for dessert! It's been a long time!!! We always knew she was the favorite.
Narra still doesn't know how to share.
But bully for us!PS
Our no-name buddy at the SPCA was rescued by his breeder. Long story, but the breeder, Lyloak German Shepherds, found out about the dog and came to get him. Hooray!
